Tips For Use

Here is a set of suggestions based on experience and observation:

1. Make the RPN worth saving. A Post-itŪ Note is supposed to be saved, so make sure that your recipient saves it.
     a. Print the offer on the note
     b. Include an expiration date
     c. Include multiple means of response
2. Personalize the Note. Post-itŪ Notes are most always personal. Either they are done by you for your benefit, or by someone close to you as a personal reminder. Get close and personal and increase response. There should always be an association between the marketer and the recipient.

3. Keep the message simple. A personalized "To do" list is a good idea. This way, all of the important aspects can be contained in a familiar format that is consistent with the Post-itŪ Note.

4. Leverage the message if possible. If the RPN is on the outside of an envelope and a better or different offer is on the inside, challenge the recipient to open the envelope for the real goods. If the point is to get the envelope opened, let the RPN talk to the recipient, and give him a reason to open the piece.

5. Give the recipient the ability to share the message. Post-itŪ Notes are meant to be shared. Give the recipient a reason to give the RPN to someone else to keep and follow up on.
